A very nice exploration. The demolition of this site started a long time ago but we were in the neighbourhood so we decided to take a look and to our surprise there were still some buildings standing! (it was nothing compared to what it used to be but still pretty much)
We got pretty lucky because when we just left the site we saw a securityvan driving on the other side of the site and afterwards we hearded that a lot of people got caught by that van ;)
History:
The Forges was a family firm which owned it from the beginning 'till the end (1995). It was used for the steel industry. There were around 5,000 workers and had its own markets and specific products. It went bankrupt around 1996, because of financial problems (mainly due to the big strike in 1992).
