Dadipark
2011
This was a really fun visit. We actually played with everything that was still there so that explains all the photos with people ;)
There were a lot of people in the park, skateboarders, families, local youth and of course some photographers. The front gate was actually open when we visited..
History:
Dadipark was one of the first amusement parks in Belgium. It was opened in 1950 by the local pastor. The highlight of the park was (and is) the wooden suspension bridge which, with it's 800 meters, was the longest of Europe.
Dadipark was closed in 2000 because a little boy lost his arm in the 'Nautic Jet' (I still have no idea how he managed to do that...).The park owner said that Dadipark had closed for renovation and safety improvements but it has never opened it's doors again. The park will probably be demolished by December 2011.
For pictures click here, just ignore the weird people ;)
