Crachoir Piscine
2011
We did this one on our 'Sandro trip' (goal: showing an Italian urbexer some of the nicest locations of Belgium). Because we planned a lot for this day we had to do this one very early and didn't had much time. The 'normal' entrance was closed so Steven and Sandro climbed trough a window (where they got attacked by a pigeon xD) and opened the door for me. We were inside for a few minutes but suddenly we heard people talking (which was strange because it was 5:00 in the morning) and we decided to get out of there as fast as possible.
History:
The pool was build during the war of 1914-1918 to prevent that the workers would have to work for the Germans.
Because it was build a long time ago it still has different entrances for man and woman.
At the head side of the pool still stands the bronze statue of the rescuer with the drowned swimmer.
The pool was closed in 1999, and it's still not sure if it ever will be
