Chateau Grand Ferrand
2011
Very nice castle, a lot of nice details still left and the entrance turned out to be quite easy ^^
We visited this place with some Germans (who would give us another location if we would take hem) and with someone from the forum. Very easy visit but when we were done and walked of the territory again a police car drove by, and she MUST have seen us... Fortunately for us she didn't stop, she even didn't stop by our cars (kind of suspicious, 6 people getting out of an abandoned territory and a German, Dutch and Belgium car parked further on the road)
So we got pretty lucky this time ^^
History:
This restaurant used to be a place where you could taste wine. Because of fraud the place went bankupt. The owner mixed expensive French wines with cheaper ones and sold these as high quality wines.
500000 liters of wine were destroyed and the restaurant got bankrupt.
There were some renovations that had started a while ago but they have stopped (probably of the costs). Some of the wines are still there.
